Title: Making Winamp ignore iPod
Post by: Diletante on September 11, 2009, 03:25:53 PM
Hello.

I get annoyed whenever I plug my iPod into my notebook, because Winamp starts acting up. When I open a MP3 file, Winamp doesn't load and I have to terminate the process and open Winamp without opening an MP3 file. A window pops up asking me what kind of iPod I plugged in.

How can I make Winamp completely ignore that an iPod is plugged in? I tried disinstalling the iPod plug-in, but that didn't work! I hope you can help me.

No, uninstall Winamp and reinstall it. This time when it asks you if you want Winamp to manage your player/s tell it in a firm, slightly menacing voice No (and click no at the same time).

Or did you do this already? Then go to Winamp Preferences > Plug-ins > Nullsoft iPod Plug-in > Uninstall selected plug-in.
