Just doing a favor for a friend. Plus, you never know, there are people here who could be interested. Wish it was a Haydn forum... :-\

Thank you for the promo link, Gurn. Starting such a highly specialized forum (it went online just 2 days ago), especially one devoted to such a relatively esoteric subject, is always an iffy proposition, but I have great expectations for this one once the word gets out and around.

Wagner is hardly everyone's cup of tea (if I may use that clichéd expression) even among confirmed operagoers, but Wagner-lovers abound, albeit in relatively small numbers compared with the numbers for the Italian rep, and I felt they should have a well-set-up, well-run online forum of their own in which to converse with their like-minded brethren. I set up The Wagner Group (TWG) because I could find no such online forum extant; ergo, TWG. (Actually, I did find one, but it's so intolerably cluttered with sub-forums and whiz-bang "features" that it would make participation a chore rather than a pleasure.)

Once again, many thanks for the link, Gurn.

Just teasing! ;D  It is actually a great idea considering how much unjustified hatred Wagner gets on music forums, including this one. :-\
