An opera by this Lully contemporary better known for his lute works... Just got the CDs...

Contemporary in broadest sense, he was a student of Lully, next generation musically. And his instrument wasn't lute but bass viol (viola da gamba). Lute was going out of fashion by his time.

I've tried a few of his lute and viola da gamba chamber works, none of which impress too much.
