A heads-up for all who'd be interested in a free, cover-mounted DVD of Nielsen's Fourth Symphony, conducted by Osmo Vanska, and Beethoven's Fourth Piano Concerto, played by Andreas Haefliger, both from BBC Proms appearances. It'll be on the front of the next edition of the magazine, which is a Proms special due out on July 4th.
Thanks Mark, I will look out for this.
Mike
Count me in, hopefully it won't be a one off ;D
I'll probably strip out the audio tracks and upload them for public consumption at some point. No rule-breaking there: the recordings aren't available as a CD-only offering. ;)
I have a subscription, so I'll be looking for it. It looks interesting.
Heather
Thanks, Mark! Appreciate the heads-up. A DVD of that Nielsen, especially, would be a real treat.

I know this sounds incredibly foolish, but what is the orchestra? :P

That part I don't know! ;D
Hi - I did not like Haefliger's performance of the Schumann PC here in Malaysia. Mannered and dragging performance of the Schumann for me (Pogorelich-like in many ways).
