As a child I was in our village Fete Rose Queen procession each year. We rehearsed alot to a Classic Orchestral type March which was loud and quite somber. I am trying to find out what it was and would like to listen to it again. Has anyone got any ideas what it may have been.?
Have you tried contacting someone in your village who might know? If that doesn't work, perhaps you could pick out the theme on a piano and write it down or record it, then post that for the wizards here to work their magic on....
Thanks David, thats a brilliant idea I will try.

David's suggestions are good ones, but let's see, "Classical Orchestra March", "loud", "quite somber", and in England. I'm I the only one that immediately thought of Elgar? A Pomp and Circumstance March (begins and ends with a boisterous section, with a somber thing in between). Of course there are other possibilities.
