I'd much rather just enjoy them, all of them, each for its own, particular self.

Ranking's for things that don't really matter, kitchen appliances, automobiles, sports figures, movies....

Why Movies? Don't u think it is an important form of art?
Anyway is was just a way to understand your peculiar approach to this wonderful group of masterworks.

Well, there you are then. I undercut the whole premise of the thread and end up giving you exactly what you wanted anyway, which is that I enjoy each piece for itself without any ranking.

There's glory for ya!*

*This is a literary allusion, just by the way, and not an attempt to make some assertion about glory. (I append this because the last time I cited this line, there was suddenly a huge broohaha about glory in that thread. Not a pretty sight.)

Exactly. That said, I don't particularly enjoy any of them. However, the cello suites played on the viola da gamba are really tasty-sounding.
