I am a retired engineer who has enjoyed listening to classical music for 50 years. I sang in choirs for most of those years and as part of our warm ups we vocalized the do-re-mi-fa or some times we would vary it by singing the numbers 1-2-3-4, and because of that I was able to vocalize Pi as 3-1-4-2 and heard the opening notes of Elgar's Enigma Variations. Although I was immediately convinced that Pi fit the enigma clues Elgar gave in 1899, I continued researching for a year or two and found much evidence to support Pi as the enigma. I am currently receiving lots of feedback from members. This is by far the most active site and most constructive site I have found.

Hi. I live in Lubbock, close to Texas Tech University where my two sons and daughter-in-law are employed. My grandson even attended the University for a while (pre-school) Ha Ha.

Thanks for the "warm" welcome. Tonight I am going to the Lubbock Symphony to hear Elgar's Cello Concerto and Bartok's Concerto for Orchestra. I have been looking forward to hearing our guest cellist, Gary Hoffman. Should be great. Hope you have a pleasant evening too.
