Just to let my friends here know, I'm back on Facebook. I sent friend requests to those that know me.
Not to me, yet?
Can we still be friends even if we are not Facebook friends? I don't have a FB account.

Sorry, Karl. I had trouble finding you, but I finally did, so I sent a request your way. 8)

Yeah, I think I'll just leave it alone this time. I don't even know why I deleted it to be honest.

Sometimes it can be invasive and puts one in the spotlight a little too much. I have thought many times of getting rid of it. For a whole month recently I 'deactivated' it - but then I activated it again. :o I understand! Ach well, nice that you're back on there. :D
Facebook is only as invasive as you let it be. For example, I only put stuff on there that I would want people to see, and I have it visible only to people that are my friends.

Thanks Johnny! I sent you a request. I hope all is well in your neck of the woods.

How do you like FB, Dave? Are there a lot of users here on FB?
I quit almost two years ago, was bored with friends posting pictures of their lunch and pretending to be poets or computer-chair activists. I would post videos or music to spark conversation and it never worked. I would join again if it was beneficial to my interests and hobbies.

I'm friends over there with a lot of horror authors, and some of the gang from here of course. I dunno; it's better than Twitter. I had quit but my wife thought I should join again so I could "network." Yeah, right. It's all fun and games for the most part.

I enjoy Twitter for news and updates from bands/musicians/artists that I follow. I was thinking of re-joining FB for a little networking, I have a few projects that could possibly get a little more recognition.
Thanks for the info, Dave.

Yes, that sort of stuff in your 'newsfeed' gets rapidly tiresome.
Never so, if it were Sarge's lunch, bien sûr.
