Hi everybody,
I hope I could share here my interest ans passion for choral music and all music in general.
;)
Welcome to the forum, Cristobal!
Unfortunately I'm not too well acquainted with choral music, I should improve that.
Yes, choral music will be a challenge here.
Welcome.
Welcome Cristobal, I hope you will enjoy the forum! :)

Hi!
Welcome. There's a choral poll going on right now so you might want to visit it.

In the picture to the left, is a performance of the German Requiem, June 2009 where I'm a little dot in the center, second row down.

hi! :)
Welcome! I have been acquiring more and more choral music over the past year or two, so will be interested to see any recommendations you may have.

Welcome(slightly belated!) from another choral enthusiast, perhaps particularly Requiems. What are you 'into' at present ? I'm learning about 20th Century requiems, by, say, Rutti.
Hope to chat to you.
Hello, Cristobal, and I'm a huge fan of choral music. Although most of my listening is from the 20th and 21st centuries, I also love big pieces like the Requiems of Brahms and Verdi, Bruckner's Te Deum, and Renaissance choral music, e.g., Josquin, Brumel, Gesualdo, etc.
Anyway, welcome, and enjoy yourself here.

Welcome from me too! :D

Welcome!
I love choral music, too. In fact, I'm composing a small choral piece.
Bienvenido!

What text? Unaccompanied?

Sorry I haven't read your question until now, Karl!
Yes, it's unaccompanied. I also wrote the text, I like writing poetry too.
The only work of unaccompanied choral I like is Stanford's The Blue Bird. A gorgeous piece that's short, but packs a powerful punch within that short duration. Check it out:

Good work! I didn't know it. Thank you!
And is it the only one you like? Wow.
Great lover of renaissance singing here, and with your moniker you're very welcome.

Yeah, it's a beautiful work for sure. I'm not really interested in unaccompanied choral music. I like instruments and hearing an orchestra. I do like chamber ensembles too. All of this is just my personal preference. I grew up in a family that played instruments. Nobody sang anything so this has stayed with me since childhood.

I'm not the choir singer... Just came to say hello to the new member.

Ah, ok. :)
So did I; and the connection between renaissance singing and Cristobal Morales should be apparent.
