Joseph Haydn. :)
Haydn is great, but I'm hungry so I voted for the chicken.
Normally, I'd opt for the banana. But I realize that over-reliance on the banana might be misperceived as a philosophical rut, so I'll go ahead and back a dog in this race.
Gotta go with Haydn! No contest!
In this case Haydn wins. If the alternative was Foulds, I might have voted Foulds (!), but I find most of the Brian symphonies difficult to get into, in spite of him being closer to contemporary times. Foulds has more appeal to me ...
Banana Chicken
Haydn is always at the top because he's Haydn. Brian is at the top because we have a bunch of perverts on this forum. ;)

Going bananas is now a philosophical rut! ;D
Haydn, of course; unless the Brian were Brian Wilson.
:D
I voted for Haydn. I enjoy his music much more than Brian's.

Wow really!? Since you're a modern music nut you must really not like Brian! :D

Not perverts, just misguided souls. ;D

Come on, baby, do the funky chicken!
I know you'll get to like it if you give it a chance now
Come on, baby, do the funky chicken!
My little baby sister can do it with ease
It's easier than learning your ABCs
So come on, come on, do the funky chicken with me...

I like a few works by Brian, but my enjoyment of Haydn supercedes my enjoyment of Brian.

I have to admit that I am slightly surprised too, John! I never thought you would include the words 'enjoy' and 'Haydn' in the same sentence! ;)

I seem to be full of surprises today. I'm quite fond of Haydn's concerti, especially the ones for violin.
Of course I voted for one of my all-time favorites, the father of the symphony, the genius behind...oh look, bananas.
Well they are both symphonists, I just haven't heard anywhere near as many of Brian's as I have Haydn's.
I love Haydn's String Quartets so that makes him the winner in this poll for me!
Haydn.

Haydn.
That's it. Nothing more to be said. This poll can be closed.
Amen.
