Art of the States (www.artofthestates.org) used to be a great resource for listening to full length recordings of music by a very diverse range of American composers. Even though a fair amount of the content was also available on sites like YouTube and Spotify, this was a well-organized site, with program notes, composer and performer bios, and more. Numerous Wikipedia articles point to its pages.
The site has been down all day — and I hadn't visited in maybe a couple of months, but the scarcity of relevant Google search results suggest that it may be altogether gone. RIP, if that's the case.
I tried to go there yesterday myself, to no avail.
I also wondered if the Google search results indicated that it was no longer around.
Be a very sad thing if it's true, if only because everything was so nicely organized.

Excellent!
And the first thing I found out when I went there was that Anna Clyne's first solo album, on Tzadik, came out this year. I had heard nothing about it before.
So two items of good news.
