Hi All
I am trying to obtain INSTRUMENTAL only symphonic rock in the same vain as Jon Lord's Sarabande and Concerto for Group & Orchestra (without any vocals) or Metropole Orkest.
That is, instrumental rock and or jazz fusion with a full orchestra. I know this sort of arrangement exists as I have heard it on radio and by chance in a Video store (many years ago).
Your help would be much appreciated.
Cheers
Good luck with that. I haven't the vaguest idea for an answer, but many or our readers have far more diverse tastes than I do.

Hello. I've never heard them but the Transiberian Orchestra could be something you are looking for? They are quite popular and well known.
Cost would preclude there being too many. You probably already know most. maybe just google "rock band with orchestra".
Isn't there a band in BA Zimmermann's 'Soldaten'? or the other piece? Schnittke's 'Requiem'? Oh, wait...
!!!APHRODITE'S CHILD!!!
I think that Malcolm Arnold did some collaboration with 'Deep Purple' which might be relevant here.

That's the Concerto for Group & Orchestra referred to in the original post.

Oops - silly me ::)
Isn't there a 'Concerto for Blues Band and Orchestra' by Russo?
Here it is - actually 'Three Pieces...'
