This is just like the Naxos Recommendations thread, but it's for Warner Classic's budget line, Apex.
List away! TIA.
I have very few issues from this series, and for the below I have the original issue. It is most enjoyable.

The one Todd lists is excellent.
I would add:

The Bartok set referenced above with Schiff is my absolute favorite recording of those works.
These other releases come to mind

These CDs are essental:
Ranki Bartok CD with the Out of Doors suite; Kagan Solo Bach; Alan Curtis Bach; Harnoncourt Haydn Symphonies; Hakkila Beethoven; ABQ Mozart; Eder Quartet's Mozart piano quartets.
These CDs are not without interest
Leonskaja Schubert; Collard Solo Schumann; Lloriod 20 Regards; Freire Villa Lobos; Harnoncourt solo Bach cello suites; ; Tachezi Two volumes of Early organ music; Corboz's Monteverdi; Harnoncourt Mozart Requiem; Keller Quartet's Bartok; Eder Quartet + 4 Mendelssohn Octet; Paul Jacobs Debussy.
Thanks for the recommendations, so far. The Bartók concerti disc will certainly be mine when I buy the box with Schiff playing concerti and chamber music which is high on my wish-list.

The Schoenberg/Boulez disc listed above is heartily seconded.
For an excellent cross-section of Hungarian music (including an outstanding Bartok Divertimento) there's this one:
[asin]B000071WEA[/asin]
This Stravinsky disc has three advantages: wonderfully full, warm, and detailed sound (from 1971 & 1973! - Erato really knew its stuff), Dutoit's intimate, probing performances, and a relative Stravinsky rarity in Renard, which doesn't deserve its obscurity:

FYI, this Bartok recording is included in the Schiff Concertos/Chamber box from Warner, in case the other contents (Beethoven, Mozart, Schubert, Veress, Dvorak) are also of interest.
EDIT: oops, Nav knows that.

Superb, I'm sure. I'd be on it if I didn't have most of the contents already.

Hello. Is Mr. Bylsma at home? I have some important information for him: The key word is "betrayal".

Yeah, but damn, Gordo, I'm trying to branch out from my narrow niche into the much broader world of Beethoven chamber music
played by someone else! :D
Alright, you have to admit, that was funny. :)

It's easier to list the bad ones. I don't have any of those!
If you dig Elliott Carter's thorny thang, this disc is dooooope:
[asin]B00005MO9P[/asin]
I have it and one disc (PELLEAS) of that Schoenberg 2cd listed above as parts of a 5cd (6cd?) of Boulez conducting 20c orchestral works, an Erato collection that is long OOP, maybe all issued as Apex singles by now? I am also keen to get the Apex disc with Schoenberg's VERKLARTE and both Chamber Symphonies.

I forget who it was but someone mentioned in another thread that not all of these volumes are easily available. :( One should buy them as they find them, I suppose.

Frankly, I'm a collector of Original Covers, so, Apex is really not my thing. However, the original Erato disc for Dallapicolla is too much, so, thank God for Apex! However, I do have the original Carter!

Mandryka or whoever, I am having trouble finding this one:

Ranki Bartok CD with the Out of Doors suite
I think this is great, but first you must find it:
[asin]B000063733[/asin]
Schoenberg: PIANO WORKS [Paul Jacobs]
I ordered an affordable new copy not long ago, and the order was cancelled due to faulty stocking or something. It seems that it's easier to find the old Nonesuch edition:
[asin]B000005IVQ[/asin]
Also, Mandryka mentioned a Haydn/Harnoncourt symphonies disc on Apex; fwiw that is included in this box, of which I like all:

Yes that's the one. If you like it I have a concert recording of Out of Doors from 2010 which I can let you have. If anything it's better than the commercial CD I think.
Another Apex CD worth catching which I forgot about is Lubimov's Brahms record, with a good Handel Variations.
Some of my favourites:

I enjoyed these
- Mozart String Quartets no. 17 'Hunt'& no. 19 'Dissonance' Alban Berg Quartet
- Brahms Piano Concerto no. 1 & Four Ballades Rudolf Buchbinder (pn), Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra / Nikolaus Harnoncourt
- Brahms Piano Concerto no. 2 & Two Rhapsodies op. 79 Rudolf Buchbinder (pn), Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra / Nikolaus Harnoncourt
This one for Dawn Upshaw singing the Dickinson songs:
