This is my first post on GMG. Some of the talk looks interesting here and I'm hoping for good conversation.

Hey! I've only changed it three times, and the third time was so I could include Mahler! It's the last few spots that are volatile. 2nd and 3rd are written in stone, and 1st
is the stone!

Well, that's nothing compared to John of course, but John is no longer amongst us, and no longer has any favorite classical composers.
You'd be surprised how malleable and ductile stone can be over the years ... ;)
Many, or most, of you are Americans?

We probably have more Yanks than other nationalities, but do have people from around the world, from Europe, Australia, South America, Asia... Put it this way, be it NBA, NHL, EPL, CL or World Cup, there seems to be someone here for every team. Not quite but almost!
Then there are people like me who has lived in many places. It's hard to say where is home.
Hi Carsten, and welcome to GMG. Yes, this forum is pretty diverse - people from all over the world.
