Poll
Question:
Who is the better composer?
Option 1: Haydn
votes: 13
Option 2: Mozart
votes: 17
Etc.
It's a heartbreak, either way.
Gotta go with “Papa," though.

Why you no vote???
Haydn for symphonies, string quartets, and choral works; Mozart for concertos, piano works, and opera. It's a tie.

Papa will appreciate it because he's getting creamed. ;D
Mozart
As much as I like Haydn, I vote for Mozart.
Mozart. No contest.
It's a very difficult choice, but I would have to choose Wolfie. Sorry, Gurn. :'(
I still LOVE Haydn's music. :)

I think Haydn was
better than Mozart in this regard.

Well,
Wolferl's claque has been entrenched much, much longer 0:)
Who will win? I think the answer is pretty clear: Mozart.
The question "who should win?" is a totally different story, with a totally different answer.
Papa. 8)
Well, they both should win. Our Dave is being a Mixer 8)

Is that Boston slang for "real cool dude"?
As I recall, if you asked either of them this question, they'd both give the other's name. :)

You recall correctly, and so shall I do. I never heard any good elements coming out of Minnesota... >:D

What, we don't do polls anymore?

When there is no answer, one must abstain, yes? If you wanted a serious answer (I don't think you do) most people would only be able to say 'I like X better than Y...' because they don't know enough about one and have only heard a 'best of' selection of the other. Plus, 'better ' is such a hard word for me to deal with... :-\
Haydn.

If you can't take the heat...
Symphonies and string quartets are my favorite, so Haydn.
It's funny that I like Mozart's piano concertos more, but still prefer Haydn in the piano sonatas. Maybe I should listen to some Haydn piano sonatas today.

"More good"?

"More good"?
Well, if we would say 'Whose music is more appealing to me, personally' I could go with that. The trouble is the either/or issue, which I can't reconcile. I hate polls... :(
8)
Wolfie on account of his versatility and near equal achievement in all genres.
