Hello Everyone!
I've been checking out some classical music forums and this one looks to be the best, with the highest amount of traffic. I've been exploring and learning about the world of classical music and all it's many variants and and I've fallen in love with it!
I hope I can discover some great new music, learn more about the composers and artists, and meet some interesting people in the forums.
Welcome! You will find everyone has opinions here, but most have sense to not mistake them for facts. And don't be afraid to ask questions.
But it does help to have a good bankruptcy lawyer in your contacts list. As you stay here, the reason for that will be clear. :P

I'm finding this all so delightfully overwhelming that I don't really have a whole lot of set opinions as of yet, but I'm working on it. ;)
Oh yes... and thanks for the Bankruptcy Attorney advice, I'll keep that in mind. :'(

Hello
Christopher - welcome to the forum! ;D
Chuckling @
Jeffrey's comments - YES, first you'll be convinced that you need more than just one interpretation of a certain piece of music (e.g. Beethoven Symphonies), then if you get interested in the 1750-1850 period, you'll want both PI & MI (i.e. period vs. modern instruments) recordings, and finally you'll come to believe that 'box sets' are the best value, plus you get all of the composer's works! WOW - how can you resist - enjoy and hope to see you posting! Dave :)
Howdy Christopher. Greetings from Beethoven's Heiligenstadt. Welcome to the forum. 8)

Well... as far as some of the more famous composers go I like J.S Bach, Mozart, Haydn, Vivaldi, Beethoven, Schubert, Dvorak, Faure, Sibelius Debussy, Ravel, (most French music), Tchaikovsky, Honegger, Gorecki, Shostakovitch, Vaughn-Williams, Holst, etc. I love early and late Baroque music, especially the French and German stuff. I love British music of all periods. I like choral and organ music too. I like some 20th century music as well. I like a whole lot of stuff!
These are just some off the top of my head, there are too many to think of!
Ooh, a fellow choral music-lover!

Great list, I can get behind most of it.
