Title: Cimarosa's Chattery
Post by: kishnevi on December 17, 2014, 07:14:16 PM
Remedying a lack..

Heard on the car radio a piano performance of one of his piano sonatas.  Performer slipped by me, but music impressed me, with what seemed to be a strong Baroque tendency.  So I will lead off with a bleg:  any suggestions for recordings of his keyboard and other non-operatic works?

For keyboard sonatas I recommend this. It's on piano, it's on steroids and it's as non-HIP as it gets --- but it's excellent.  :D

For other works, this CD is imprescindible (HIP to the core, this one.)
