Title: Copland Piano Quartet (5)
Post by: snyprrr on January 12, 2016, 07:38:52 AM
1) ASV- Collins, Vanbrugh & Co.

2) EMI- Solists of NYPO

3) MusicMasters- Denis Russell Davies & Co.

4) Nonesuch- Kalish & Co.

5) MMC- Broyhill Ch.Ens.

I think this is what's available. I have the ASV, and it's alright, but I'm always looking for moreMoreMORE!!, especially out of this piece. Does anyone have any of the other? I think I've found the Kalish/Nonesuch to be a little dry sonically, and perhaps a little too forceful in execution? My eyes are either on the Davies/MusicMasters or the EMI disc, the latter of which I would ASSume that it has at least the best sound, and, seeing it is the NEW YORK PO, I feel they may give it that extra oomph...

Anyone? Bueller?
