Title: Hello!
Post by: ryrowe27 on July 30, 2016, 05:58:04 AM
Hello everyone! I'm Ryan and I'm an undergraduate student studying Vocal Performance and Slavic and Eastern European Languages and Cultures in the U.S.

Just figured I'd introduce myself here in hopes to find some guidance to new repertoire. I am in the process of picking my second Slavic language to study (already speak Russian) and was hoping to create an art song project out of it as well. So if anyone has any recommendations for art songs (for a tenor) in either Czech, Slovak, Polish, Bosnian/Serbian/Croatian, or Romanian, please PM me!

Welcome to GMG, Ryan!

I don't know about the others, but the Czechs certainly have songs by e.g. Antonín Dvořák, Leoš Janáček, Bohuslav Martinů, Vítezslav Novák, and Bedřich Smetana.
