Wow, I had no idea he was even still alive. Last night, I was looking at my LP collection and saw a few of his recital and opera highlight records that I need to digitize. A tremendous voice, and quite a life! I am sure he could tell some stories! RIP Nikolai!

Indeed.  I remember him as always delivering as musical a performance as any tenor out there and more so than many, including *ducks* a certain famous Italian.  May his memory never fade.
