Title: Melnyk's Mode
Post by: Ken B on June 19, 2017, 08:27:42 AM
Lubomyr Melnyk.

Canadian composer of quasi-minimalist piano music mostly, which he calls "in the continuous mode". His greatest hit is KMH, which I recommend very strongly, and which can be had on CD. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/KMH:_Piano_Music_in_the_Continuous_Mode (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/KMH:_Piano_Music_in_the_Continuous_Mode)

Here's a shorter example of music in the continuous mode, Cloud 81 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GU9WePmxeRc (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GU9WePmxeRc)

and Windmills (2014) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rzBzlD0xgYI (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rzBzlD0xgYI)
