Title: My solo recording of Hungarian Dance No.5 on Guitar
Post by: Markblues on March 27, 2018, 11:35:34 AM
At the end of last year I recorded this take on Brahms Hungarian Dance No.5 . It's my own arrangement and would be good to hear your thoughts. Be nice lol . No, be honest!

I'll check back in a few days and see if I've been taken to town or if some of you like it :)

Very nice! Sounds like you are having a lot of fun. 8)

One thing I am curious to know about the middle section (beginning 1:20) is why you have decided to lengthen the ends of the first few phrases like that. Perhaps I am remembering the piece wrong, but part of the quirkiness I like about those few phrases is their irregular phrase length. The rasgueado at 3:30 is delightfully effective!

I'll have a listen to the other tracks as well. Thanks for posting these! It sounds very beautifully recorded.

You could be right. I tend to do my own thing at times and get carried away. I'll have to check too :) Thanks for your compliments on the recording, I'm always trying to get a better and better sound . Slightly obsessive :)

It's a shame I can't hear without creating a spotify account.  Do you have any other links?
