I first discover Johannes Lymburgia, after Solage. They seem quite similar except Solage a bit more wild. Both or great exponent of Ars Subtilior. But whit that in mind Lymburgia special too in is own way for something: some he is either Ars subtilior or early renaissance. Outhere record put out a lovely CD of Lymburgia.
His music sounded well elaborate and articulated, ethereal.
His music eclectic and intriguing, he a mysterious composer and figure for is era.
There is very little recording compared to Solage which makes me think. He still not fully explored by musicologists and not fully understood.
Since when musicologist found is partitions, the ink was a bloody mess to decipher, so they had to decode his music.
So this music is speculative of what he may not sound like, I did enjoy what Outhere put out doe.
Can someone else elaborated more on him, what do you think? He experimental, if I could picture is music seem like in between Solage and Matheo de Perugia.
All the singers on the The Baptiste Roman CD seem to me exceptional and committed.
