Beethoven (but not the Violin Concerto, and certainly not as bizarrely played by Kopatchinskaja).

I'm tempted by the banana, because it has the virtue of being nice and quiet, but surely it has to be Mozart, because Beethoven does bang about such a lot, don't you think?

Polls like this tell more about the voters than about the composers. My position is, that I acknowledge the greatness of both composers, but Beethoven talks more directly to my heart than Mozart.

I'm rocking with Banana on this one... couldn't choose.

Surprised Mozart has such a low showing, I am tempted to vote for him just to bump up his vote. Truthfully I couldn't live without either so my vote goes to banana.

I can't choose between Mozart's piano concertos, operas and Ludwig van's symphonies and piano sonatas, so it's the fruit option for me.

Other chamber music: WAM
Solo keyboard: LvB
Opera: WAM

Fairly ain't-so. LvB rules!  ;)

Beethoven has appealed to me more than any other composer and this is reflected in the works I used to play on piano and those I listened to. Chopin comes next, followed by Schumann, Bach, Schubert and Brahms. So Mozart is well down the list.
