Now living in the U.S. and teaching at Princeton, Donnacha Dennehy is originally from Ireland, where he founded the Crash Ensemble (https://www.crashensemble.com/) in 1997.

I've heard a few of his smaller pieces here and there, but was prompted to start the topic after seeing the livestream schedule for this summer's Aspen Music Festival, where Augustin Hadelich will play Dennehy's Violin Concerto (2021), which the festival co-commissioned.

BTW the title Grá agus Bás translates from the Irish as Love and Death

Thanks, this one is even more appealing than the first one, with Dawn Upshaw, the Crash Ensemble, and Alan Pierson conducting (whom I know from the group Alarm Will Sound). And also, what cover art!

Appreciate your putting both of these on my radar.
