Title: My friend's Classical Mashups
Post by: Uhor on December 20, 2023, 03:04:43 PM
I know the person who does the mashups I like so much, so this thread is for them and discussing them if you are willing to listen.

Excellent Examples of their "repertoire" (well actually most of their stuff):

Pretty:

Post-Romantic:

Dark:

Boulez:

Morton Feldman:

Mashed up Concerti:

I hope at least some of you peak at this. I find it fascinating to see old material in new contexts.

My personal recommendations are:

Prelude to a Buddhist Daphnis

Sibelius' Dream Symphony Poem

Ligeti's Final Requiem

Messiaen's and Boulez's - Pli selon La Transfiguration de Notre Seigneur

Feldman's Concertante Puzzles

Unsuk Chin's Imaginary Quadruple Concerto-Fantasy
