Disclaimer: I don't know anything about old vinyl.
I'm a huge fan of Leopold Simoneau's and Hans Rosbaud's 1956 studio recording of "Orphee et Eurydice" for Philipps.
It's in mono. And for while I've been looking if maybe any live recording exists in stereo.
Anyway while doing so I found an old vinyl of the Rosbaud studio recording with the website claiming it's stereo. I couldn't believe it but that actual vinyl has a stereo writing too, while other vinyls of that recording usually correctly write mono.
So is this just a misunderstanding that it claims stereo? Do I get something wrong here? Or might this be really stereo?

The pictures do not have very good definition, but I can read (on the upper right-hand corner of the sleeve, next to the Philips logo) that this is "partially electronically altered to simulate stereo". So, it must be the same mono recording, but manipulated. In my experience, these "fake" stereo pressings were rather disappointing, and did not represent any improvement over the original mono.
