I don't really watch television but Youtube has some interesting and well prepared documentary material, often controversial and unusual. The problem of course, as with the whole internet, is that there's no proper evaluation or indexing to wade past the megatonnes of drivel. I've viewed good stuff on 9/11 conspiracies, the oil crisis, religion, Martian buildings and other completely unconventional material worth thinking about that isn't available elsewhere. Can you recommend any more?
Sure, you could learn about the Church of Scientology (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P3QqjTsFKm4). :)
EDIT: I was going to recommend a really terrific video, but it was removed by the user. :(
Thanks, will check it out.
Actually I think you would like John Safran (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fic56JN7aIw) and his assorted rants. (The one I linked to is about religious missionaries.)
My favorite John Safran is this one. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i1JhZGv8Tj0)

Actually what you're looking for is the lowest level of drivel.
I've been listening to a fair amount of the Brahms Piano Concerti of late. Here's a video of the first with Ashkenazy, Giulini, and Los Angeles.

Screw youtube, stage6.com has over 700 pages (13000+ videos) of documentaries in high definition, some as high as 1920x1680.

Enjoy, that could probably spend you a decade to watch and digest.
Video and hopefully a discussion will soon follow:

Thanks a lot folks. I'll post some direct links also when I get a minute.
head-case, contempt is to fear what glucose is to sugar. I know people are the way they are, but I still really find it shocking that anyone just accepts the official view thrown out by the media: it's obvious to a child that it's highly conditioned and prepared.
Steve, this movement is blood on the wall and Ashkenazy's subtlety and refinement I think was never going to get to the soul of the piece, Giulini being another controlled and considered master; however he attacks the keyboard as best he can and the results are obviously still better than most.
Good one on peak oil on Stage6 (may need to download the excellent video software- easily done). Thanks Mfur.

Glucose
is sugar.
I don't necessarily accept "the official" view of everything. I accept what is supported by evidence. The YouTube videos you have posted in 9/11 are simply delusional nonsense which lack any basis in real data.
search on "simpsons" and you can watch the whole movie :D
This one on the coexistence of humans and dinosaurs is rather disturbing.

You don't need braces.
Sean, I know that you don't watch TV, but may I recommend what is quite possibly the greatest television program America has ever produced? Here's two articles about the show:

and some self-contained youtube clips:

You're making me feel guilty, lisa. All my clips were goofy jokes. :-\
Alright, time to drop the girly name and girly avatar.
Anybody see this one?

Cool! Glad you liked it.
It's one of the ones that won't play for me- wrong Java script or something, and I can't get it the software to download.
-abe- the Americans talk about themselves, try and understand and resolve things and talk to each other- the English aren't like this. However American swearing and sexual references shows what a messed up state the Western mind is in.
