Title: Jindrich Feld
Post by: Guido on February 26, 2008, 11:03:24 AM
I just purchased his cello sonata second hand for $5.00. Just wondering if anyone knew anything about him or had heard any of his works. I couldn't find a recording of the piece.

I propably have some (early) Feld works ( a symphony, or Concerto for orchestra?) on LP ...( bought in cheap Supraphon times...). Mildly expressionistic, I'd say - with neo-classical tendencies...I've heard too little to make a judgmend.

Luxemburg' flautist Carlo Jans has performed & recorded Feld's complete works for flute (orchestral/chamber works).

This CD was ,I think the first in a series of 4.
