I am posting this because I'm about to take a break from this, my favorite forum. I'm taking up three total new musical instruments, and taking private composition classes in music (not to mention my own usual avalanche of guitar students).
I'll be back.
I'll be back because here I have found some of the most respectful, admirable, decent people I've ever met, period. This forum seems to be about real community. At times there are problems, but overall FAR fewer than any other I've been on.
I have to thank the moderators here also for their very fair, and overall strongly conscientious way of handling situations.
I'll be popping back in intermittently, but I'm not sure there will be much regular posting from me after Wednesday until probably late summer.
Thanks so much to all on this board, you folks are the best I've every had the tremendous pleasure of dealing with.
what's the 3rd instrument? :o
oh hey, don't forget to add me as a myspace friend (or if your lady is responsible for that, just tell her).
well, we'll miss your posts :'(

I
wondered what took you so long to post on this topic,
George! You are one of my top favorite members here, and this is truly for the best. I have to spend alot more time with the instruments that make Our Music, as it means so much to me.
But I am flattered and happy, reading your thoughts on the matter.
And I'll be
back!
Good luck with your current quests in life!
I'll be glad to see ya back here when you come back. :)

I respect that you are doing what you need to do in order to take care of your own life. Please ignore my self-centered concerns. :)

Now that's what we all wanted to hear! :) You said in your OP that this was truly a great community. Don't ever forget that it is that way because of people like you! :)
Have a nice time, Andy. When you return we've moved to a new home.
Until then keep passing the open windows.

Have a good time with all that music-learning! :D

I hope you come back soon Andy.
You are always so kind even when people don't deserve it. ;)
When I saw the title of this thread I thought it would be the post from someone annoucing a terminal illness, having been told you have only a few days to live.
How old are you?

Don't ignore mine, Andy! You're leaving? Let me quote Eric Cartman:
Son of a bitch...I'm gonna go sit in a corner and pout until you come back.

Andy - first, good luck in your 'many' endeavors - I'm sure that you'll be successful! We will all miss your posts and enthusiasm (and a 'kindred soul' interested in that so-called Gurnian Period) - ;D
Hope to see you posting occasionally and return to us in the near future - best wishes - Dave :D
Andy, I will think of you every time I listen to Mozart's 35th Symphony . . . . . . :D
I've genuinely enjoyed your posts. Do return soon... :)

not be interested in a period with

I hope you'll return soon, Andy. But I have to say, adding three new students is the best kind of reason for leaving (says somone who places a high value on music education). :D
Good luck, and please return when you can!

Good luck with the new instruments and the guitar students, Andy. I think you really have a nice personality, and you have contributed a lot in giving this forum a good humour atmosphere.
I also find your varied tastes in music welcomed - from Mozart and Haydn to Converge and Morbid Angel. You seem open-minded and that's always a good thing IMO.
You will be missed, and hope you return soon!
Well I do not agree with you going Andy, but if you must you must.
Take care of your self, and be good to your girlfriend you hear. :)
I did not see this thread until today, and it pains me, not to have said, how I enjoyed his ravings about Haydn, o well Andy if you read this, had a jolly fine time with your posting.
Don't stay away to long. :)
