Many of my friends approach me with the same question. This and music from Copland or Holst come up regularily.

Is this a different arrangement of it? My recording is for a significantly smaller ensemble.

It's the André Rieu version (who is, despite his French name, Dutch I'm afraid..) - nuff said. 8)

That's unfortunate. He manages to make everything sound both epic and campy. Reminds me of the orchestral versions of Lizsts Hungarian #2.

He's making truck loads of money on this piece, which he nicknamed "Second Waltz".
