OK, so I didn't post my introduction here, but in the general forum, so here we go again. No worries...
My name is Yael, born and raised in Israel, Italy, Paris, then New York, now Florida, married to my Japanese hubby for 17 years (as of July 27/October 20 - don't ask!). I grew up surrounded by classical music, alongside the Israeli songs of the era, and grew to love them both. When I moved to the States, I found in my uncle another soul who adored music as much as I, and he and have been playing "Classical Name That Tune" ever since. Lots of fun.
I'm not a strict classics lover, however, and lately have been listening to Aznavour quite a bit. Although his music, too, might be considered classic in some circles.

My husband is also Japanese. I'm an Italian-American and we live sort of midway between the two places of origin in the most unlikely spot for music and for people like us.
I'm also an information freak so the GMG has been a wonderful find for what's happening in music around the world and for the funny and bright people here.
