Title: British Brass Bands and other community bands
Post by: Catison on November 10, 2008, 06:21:15 AM
My band, the Madison Brass Band, competed in the US Open Brass Band competition.  This was our first competition, and we placed 5th out of 7.  I was very surprised, because we are mostly amateurs and a relatively new band.  But it was great fun.  My instrument is Eb Bass (tuba).

Here is a link to the US Open website:  http://www.usopenbrass.org/

Does anyone else play in a brass band or other community band?

If anyone is interested, I can post a recording of us in rehearsal.
