Not much. I've got that chamber orchestra piece I've started, but I have neither formed the kind of definite idea about the piece which it (and the listener) deserve, nor found much motivation to work on it. I doubt this limbo is forever, but it's the present I'm living in.

I still haven't yet found my way with this. It will wait. I've made a start on a new Henning Ensemble piece which I've tentatively dubbed Dark Side of the Sun. I feel I cannot be the first to come up with that, and I guess I'm hoping not to discover any turf conflict.

I like how this is shaping. And, separately, I'm still chipping away at the one-minute organ piece. Also, under Not quite sure why I still bother, I've found two calls to which I'll send scores already in the portfolio. All in all, in a small way, a bit more productive than average for 2024.

Bar 23 conundrums me.

Why is the pedal part there notated as multiple rests and not as a single rest, as it is for the rest of the piece?

Oh! I ought to have deleted the pedal staff. The instrument is manuals only.

And, where there are rests other than whole-rests in the pedal, it's an artifact from copy/paste/delete jiggerings.
