That's what I used to do. Actually I would turn a disk backwards in the box once listened, since I wouldn't necessarily go through it in order.

Oh that is clever.  I don't take the Mozart Edition in order, so perhaps I should do that...

Same here, I prefer big sets on cd.  Mostly because it is easier to navigate and I also like to gradually work my way through them by moving the one I listened to the back of the box if that makes sense.

I started that with one box, then got distracted by other listening projects, came back to it for a specific recording, and was very confused by what I'd done. 

Backwards sounds much better!

The latest update (as of yesterday) is that the package cleared customs and is schedule for delivery tomorrow (Friday).

In reply to the question from @Brian it arrived, as promised by the USPS, on Friday. Well packed and in good condition. Arrived about three weeks after the order was placed.
