I used to do this, and can vouch for the fact that it is great - although I also enjoy listening to baseball a great deal on the radio, esp wih Joe Morgan. :)

I am a great fan of baseball, though...Go Giants!
Giants suck!

Sunday night baseball has Joe.

Thanks to inter-league play, I get to take my son to see the Giants play the Red Sox at Fenway Park on June 16th. It should be interesting to experience the reception Barry Bonds gets. It will not be a very welcoming one.

Joe Morgan is not highly regarded by the sports media here. The local talk shows mercilessly take him to task for his inept color commentary whenever he does the televised games.

Why is he not respected? Strategically, I think he is great.

He has absolutely no sense of humor or chemistry with the other announcers. His commentary consists of stating (or more often misstating) the obvious.

The Red Sox ended their skid last night with a big win against the Giants while the Mets stopped the Yankees' streak with a shutout at the Stadium. I'll be at Fenway Park this afternoon to see Daisuke Matsuzaka pitch for the first time in person and boo Barry Bonds. The weather forecast is warm and sunny. Life is good.

Woooooooooow
x2. The epic collapse of both Atlanta and Boston on the same day, on the last day, is really something.
Be kind to your fellow posters!!

I was flipping between three games last night, watched the Epic collapse #2 of the BoSox and three minutes later the rise of the Rays...quite a thrilling night of Baseball.

Or, as I heard on the radio this morning: It really is your father's Red Sox

The Six

And to think they're adding an extra Wild Card team per league in two years. Such a dumb idea.

Good idea, actually. This way, today's Red Sox can actually out-do your father's Red Sox.

Not a game of artistic masterpiece, but what drama! I love it! Sure came to the States at the right time! Wow!

Watched game 7 at Rock Bottom Brewery in Denver, Colorado with a bunch of Cards fans. Loved it! Sure made the most of my trip back to the US, and a big surprise at that!

What an impropable run by the Cards. I can't help but thinking that had Cruz not be such a sissy and pull up as he approached the warning track and thus not catching the fly ball by Freese that he should have caught (with possibility of an injury that he would have plenty of time to recover from), Rangers should and would have won. But there are no ifs ands or buts in sports. A championship for the storybooks for the Cards. They will be talking about this one for ages. Too bad because it is two small market teams and the overall TV ratings were low. Some people missed one of the best series in years.

I grew up in Texas watching the Rangers, even got to see Nolan Ryan pitch a few times. Was awesome to see them involved in such an exciting series. Yes, the Rangers had several opportunities to put the series away and failed, but this was the Cards year. They were 10 games back of the wild card at the end of August, not only made the playoffs but beat the Phillies and Brewers, and now took the World Series, quite a memorable performance. I was rooting for the Rangers, and almost had a heart attack during game 6, but I love the sport of baseball so much that I have to turn my disappointment to admiration and respect to the Cards.
Still the greatest sport  ;D

A memorable series, especially the last two games, though as a traditional baseball fan I'm dismayed to see a team that didn't even win its "division" (let alone the pennant) in the Series--let alone any team from a league that stopped playing baseball in 1973.
