I had the good fortune to see this program last night and it was (to my very novice eye) quite good indeed. While I liked the Barber (for its comparison and contrast of classical and modern ballet), La Sylphide was definitely the work that held my interest. Julie Diana was particularly moving in the title role as she was able to project such sweetness and innocence that any notion of falsity was quickly belayed. Definitely a good night's entertainment, at least in my opinion.
