I still might get that one.  I have gotten several smaller sets and individual items, which actually were more expensive than they should have been (only because of their rarity) and so will wait. 

How is the sound?

Generally very good, often fabulous.  (Mind you, I'm still making my way through it.)

Pounds the table until it breaks into! Great! That Schonwandt symphony cycle and Dausgaard misc. orchestral recording are essential acquisitions IMHO for a Nielsenite. The chamber music is also very much worth your time. Happy listening!

Thanks! I may just become a Nielsenite...  Really looking forward to hearing all of this music. Nielsen has become a mighty favourite of late. Yesterday I listened to the Violin Concerto by Frang: simply gorgeous.

This is great to hear. Of course, I won't hold you back from becoming a Nielsenite. The Violin Concerto is a fantastic work and it's gorgeous indeed. I still feel it's a bit underrated compared to the concerti for flute and clarinet.

The last installment from Salonen's Nielsen that I needed. Many years ago I bought the Salonen Conducts Nielsen set (reissued by Sony) and to my bewilderment it did not contain the recording above. One of the strangest omissions I've seen in a long time. Anyway, it will be nice to have all of Salonen's Nielsen now.
