hello everyone,

I need your help!

I am looking for a piece of music by Rachmaninoff.
It is played by several string instruments that take it in turns to play a repeating theme. I think it also contains piano music.
It is quite a simple tune, repeated over and over again by the different string instruments.
Long, melancholic notes.
It is part of a concerto or sonata as far as i know, but it is a certain part i am looking for.
In it you can hear his homesickness and sorrow very clearly.
I don't know a lot about classical music, I don't even like it much to be honest, but I heard this piece years ago and it moved me then. I had forgotten about it, but now, for some reason I remembered the tune and since then I am dying to hear it again.

Please help me!

Thanks for now,

Anna

Could be this one -

or this one -

... or a lot of other things, honestly, but those are two of the most likely to be heard by someone who doesn't listen to classical music actively.
