I watched the first few episodes of The Rings of Power and enjoyed them overall.  I particularly thought the scene between Durin and Elrond was amusing "And you won't be staying for dinner!".

I think it was probably you who tipped me off about this. Such fun!

TD: Finished the first part of Season 2 of The Fugitive. Excellent series. Amusingly, two motifs which stood out in this tranche of episodes: bratty youths who become part of Dr Kimble's problem in this or that place, and there arising occasion to print Kimble. Not that he never got fingerprinted in the first season, but they seem to be ramping this up, probably to give Barry Morse more work as Inspector Philip Gerard.

Somehow I was under the impression that this remake of Broadchurch was going to start in the same place but take the story in different directions. But it actually just repeats the original story, including the subplots, from start to finish.

Its well made, but why did they feel the need to bother?

They remade Broadchurch with David Tennet?! It is not even old... so useless.

Very impressive. Farrell's work is amazing. The season finale is powerful.

Aha, it is done, time to watch!

My friend likes Babylon 5, and we just watched the first couple of episodes. Not quite my thing. Plays like a soap.

It probably feels that way because the cast mostly came from soap operas and acted the same way!

I had the same feeling at the original airing of ST: Deep Space Nine, thus I didn't get past Season 1. It is due for another attempt.

This series on BBC2 has been superb. Fascinating and revealing so much that's new to me, including an endless procession of jaw-dropping facts, impromptu demonstrations and excellent CG graphics. Presented by the always illuminating Brian Cox.

My old friend watches a number of shows, most of them with some merit, but rather soapy. I'm not judging him, just finding that I cannot summon enthusiasm. I've enjoyed the few episodes I've now seen of Brilliant Minds, but when I get back home I shan't miss it.

I'm pretty apathetic to the whole Marvel movie scene, despite being a huge fan of the comics as a kid. Nonetheless, I started Daredevil and am really emjoying it.

The Netflix one, or is there a new one now?

KevinP

Netflix.  Didn't watch it at the time.

But there is a new one coming, with the same actors.
