Thus begins my experiments at putting anime characters into real life backgrounds. 
However, I don't know much about photoshop.  Thus, after copying the image to this background, I kept on thinking that Haruhi looks too tall- she would realistically only be about 5 feet tall...

I've never seen these types of pictures before.  All you have to do is get a vector image of a character, an appropriate-sized background, copy and paste.
