Your National Anthem of Choice

You are the Supreme Dictator, it's up to you which will be your country's national anthem. Name your choice.

Here is mine, hands down:

I thought this was going to be about which country has the best national anthem, from a musical/melodic point of view. But everyone knows the answer is Russia.

Excellent lyrics although having a national anthem reinforces the concept of “nation” which is why one day Scotland and England will separate.

France?
"Courage is going from failure to failure without losing enthusiasm" (Churchill).

'The test of a work of art is, in the end, our affection for it, not our ability to explain why it is good' (Stanley Kubrick).

You mean Bozhe tsarya khrany, right?  If yes, and speaking of former national anthems, I agree that it's a great gorgeous tune, on a par with Cara al sol and Giovinezza. ;D

Not official national anthems past or present with one exception (Riego) but great tunes, regardless of lyrics:

|Oriamendi --- Spanish, Traditional Monarchist https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=StMf4QKgtL0

Bandiera rossa - Italian, Communist https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aMpdHhuT-is

Himno de Riego --- Spanish, Liberal, Republican https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IqarvkV3puI

Sfântă tinereţe legionară --- Romanian, Quasi-Fascist: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zG2LdB2ypYo

And my favorites, all Romanian:

Saltă, Române! --- Revolutionary, 1848: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RpswGhD_rzk

Sfânta Zi De Libertate --- Ditto: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1qUQHSDB92E

Marșul lui Iancu --- Ditto (Transylvanian): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=brieZE8Nejo

La arme, pentru neam și pentru rege!! --- Patriotic, Monarchist https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jqEdJwJMHVI

Treceți batalioane române Carpații --- the battle hymn of the Romanian Army, WWI 1916-1920 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dgvh4n6046U

Please listen to them all and evaluate them according to your own musical preferences. Thank you.

NB: The 1848 Revolution in Wallachia and Moldavia was directed not that much against the de jure suzerain Ottoman Empire as against the de facto sovereign Russian Empire, while in Transylvania it was directed not that much against the de jure suzerain Austrian Empire as against the de facto nascent Hungarian hegemony.

Best vacuum cleaner reviews - top 3 robot vacuums for the elderly

The elderly are different from us. They’re weaker and have more body problems which make them less flexible in doing things. And cleaning is the number one activity that troubles the elderly. That’s why we need good robot vacuums to assist them with this chore. Today, we’ll be looking at the 3 Best Rated Vacuum Cleaners for the elderly. One of them can be the next gift for your beloved seniors!

1. iLive V80 robot vacuum cleaner

The first robot vacuum cleaner I’d like to introduce will give you the best cleaning result. People are impressed with the suction power of the iLive V80 robot vacuum cleaner on different floor types: hardwood, tiles, laminate. This robot vacuum can also mop the floor, which is great to cut down work for the elderly. The iLive V80 also has no problem getting under furniture like sofas and beds, so no area is left behind. Despite the powerful suction, this robot vacuum is very quiet, which won’t bother the elderly who love a peaceful atmosphere. The machine comes with remote control, which is more friendly to the elderly than a smartphone app.

2. Viomi S9 UV robot vacuum cleaner

This is one of the best vacuum cleaner brands you can find out there with many smart features. The first one is self-cleaning ability. The Viomi S9 UV robot vacuum cleaner will auto empty itself when it finishes vacuuming. So your elderly only have to take out the trash from the charging dock every once in a while. Besides vacuum and mopping, this robot vacuum also has a UV light that can kill five types of floor bacterias. This feature would help protect your elderly health besides collecting all the debris. The Viomi S9 UV has many sensors that help it avoid bumping into things and getting stuck so that it won’t demand your elderly attention all the time. The good battery life provides more time for cleaning, and the machine will automatically go back to the charging dock. After charging, it will continue the work where it left off, unlike other robot vacuums that start all over again.

3. Milagrow Seagull prime robot vacuum cleaner

The special thing about the Milagrow Seagull prime robot vacuum cleaner is it can mop without a water tank. This robot vacuum uses a special cleaning pad that can hold water and dispense it bit by bit while mopping. The floor will not be slippery, so it’s safer for the elderly. And they don’t have to worry about putting water inside an electric device. The hepa filter can collect up to 0.3 micron of particulate matter, which gives back fresh, clean air that is good for the elderly. The Milagrow Seagull prime can be supervised via smartphones, and it constantly updates information for us to know its status. With a five years warranty coming along, I bet all elderly are satisfied with the company policy.

How do you like our suggestions? Have you spotted the best rated vacuum on the list to become a gift for your beloved elderly? I’m sure any of these amazing robot vacuums can become an elderly’s best friend and help them a lot with cleaning. So wait no more and get one for your elderly to help improve their life today!

Btw, I'm currently on holiday at a Black Sea resort very near Ovidiu on the map above; Ovidiu being the Romanian for Ovid.

It’s very nice to have some coastline in one’s country. Enjoy the rest of your holiday. 8)
