The world loves a 335, and we are the world I'm told. Now that that's settled, who has the money for a Gibson?

    All is not lost.

This guitar is as good as the Gibson, if not better. The Gibson goes for $3.5k, Reverb has the T59/v for $1.8k.

The Rob Squad are experts at having fun reacting to stuff. Why not let them react to The Big Lebowski?

Now I'll have to find a reaction video for the Marigaux M5. I haven't played for nearly thirty years, but it still inhabits my dreams...

Say whatt ??? Noobody expects reaction videos for orchestra instruments! And if I'm not nobody I don't know who is!!

I'm not sure that made sense, so mission accomplished.

Quote from: DavidW on November 11, 2023, 03:37:41 AMThe part of the video where he was using rt max on Cyberpunk but with fsr ultra performance at 1080p was actually really funny because you have raytraced reflections but with image quality comparable to 240p!

I completely almost understand that and yes it's funny. I really like this guy and he did a great video on the Nvidia A2000 pro card. I almost bought the damn thing.

I haven't seen Showgirls so I don't know if it's a misunderstood masterpiece like Starship Troopers. Clearly the process is underway.

My fascination with Verhoeven goes back well before the "eewww that's gross" period, all the way to Soldier of Orange.

Anyways, somebody thinks Showgirls is very OK.

Quote from: BWV 1080 on September 29, 2023, 07:56:00 AMI really hate the genre and hate their clickbaity stupid expressions on the thumbnails.  Who cares what some YouTube rando thinks about something?  I get particularly annoyed by the pretentious titles these people give themselves like 'professional composer reacts to Bach'  or whatever

Now get off of my lawn

I'm going to have to agree. Not only i don't seem to understand the appeal i find those thumbnails obnoxious as well. Especially that stupid open mouth pose they do whenever i see that my blood pressure goes up and i have to scroll down in a hurry.

Part of the problem of course is that very rarely i get the feeling the "reaction" is actually genuine. There is a classical composer who reacts to heavy metal and other things his subscribers request from him:

https://www.youtube.com/@Doug.Helvering/videos

I saw some of his videos, and i think he is a decent enough guy but it's hard to say how "genuine" his reactions are given he has an audience to maintain.

Likewise for this girl whom i happened to chance upon at one time:

Is she really as impressed as she appears to be or is putting on a nice facade to please her viewers? Who can say.

Going back to Doug, i can believe this reaction was likely real though:

BTW, there is one aspect i find amusing about those music reacting channels, is that eventually the heavy metal people seem to take over and i'm pretty sure those poor youtubers are actually taken by surprise, at least the first time it happens:

It's not as fun anymore once they know what's coming but i got a few laughts the first time.

When it comes to " music reactors ", I've only seen young children reacting to The Beatles and Queen, and one man reacting to Mahler. Everything else has been movies and television, and that all started with Popcorn in Bed.

Speaking of which, Cassie has uploaded her reaction to Star Trek: The Motion Picture:

I don't think I've linked Alex here before. While he's possibly a bit too intense for one's daily reacting fix, I find him agreeable in small doses, and he's just uploaded his take on my favorite " ZomCom " :

For those who don't know his work Michael Spicer is excellent.  Probably best/most recently known for the quite brilliant "the room next door man" videos such as;
