I highly recommend Casadesus's Mozart.

The only silly thing they seem to have done is deciding to go for stereo recordings only, with some boxes at least. They left out several Casedesus/Szell Mozart Concertos (12, 18, 20) and in Rubinstein Brahms box left out most of late piano pieces (notably 1953 and 1941 sessions).

From the grapevine. Sort of.

Lots of L'Archibudelli and Leonhardt, although I'm not sure if these will be part of the Classical Masters series.

Some kind of L'Archibudelli box = insta-buy from me!

Well, let's just hope that it doesn't go in the way of the Vivarte megabox that never was.

It wouldn't be Sony if they didn't leave half of their archive in permenent limbo while they box the other half :)

I've already got the Schubert Masses, and a good part of the Boccherini box is stuff in the Bylsma plays Boccherini box I already have, and I can probably live without the Baroque catch all box from Tafelmusik, but everything else is stuff I wants.  I wants!

Navneeth,
that Vivarte box exists, although it is not distributed by the usual Occidental stores:

At those prices, I might as well consider it non-existent. ;D But seriously, thanks for pointing it out. :)

Thanks for that post! :o :)

Count me in for one or two of the L'Archibudelli sets. Wonderful thing that these recordings come available again. I do remember piecing their Mozart recordings together - laborious and at some cost...

The Leonhardt organ discs set looks good, though some or maybe all are included in the Jubilee set

The Bach cantata set looks mandatory on account of the old SEON Egmont/Brüggen recordings.

Both Weil's Haydn symphonies and his Schubert masses are mandatory as well! :o

I might also opt for the Schütz/Bernius set, despite his Symphoniae Sacrae are not all that.

I do get a giggle (sorry!) every now and then when I read the HIP Mozart thread, seeing how you and others were looking for the discs like diggers look for gold nuggets. ;D

Weil's Haydn symphonies (and masses) are still available in the form of the re-release from a couple of years ago.
