Yes, I think drums are so prominent in metal that playing without them gives the players a challenge they're not used to timewise. Still a pretty cool performance, though

Yeah, not as tight as it could be, but not bad either. Hopefully it'll get some kids learning metal to broaden their horizons a bit. It's also a nice demonstration of the ties between metal and baroque music. Most of those patterns they're playing could be tweaked slightly and easily slipped into many a metal tune.
