Many of the nationalities are annoying and not ideal.* Non composer-specific threads were listed for being in the section anyway.

A most helpful compilation indeed!  I have taken the liberty of making it a "sticky" topic.  Thanks much for taking the time to do this.

To call on different roots of mine than usual, were I the DM, I'd award you 5000XP for this. Great thread.

Neat that it will be of use. Shame that the same can't be done for the recordings section atm - it's just too large.

Is this a non-operatic-composers-only list? I mean, does it not include composers known primarily for their operas?

Lethe you forgot the Wagner Valhalla thread  :(

EDIT: You also forgot the Verdi King of Italian Opera thread  :(

Both of these threads can be found in the Opera and Vocal Section  of GMG.  Please be kind enough to add them to your list  :).

I added them - I considered adding composer-specific things (such as the Les Troyens) thing under each composer, in fact, I'd like to (as the opera section is small), but I think that people may begin to experience browser problems if the first post becomes too long :'(

It won't even be half as problematic as the What are you Listening to? or Purchases Today threads.  ;)

If you'd to proceed in that direction it might ultimately end up like this:

 ;)

Excellent job!  :D  Thanks for your tremendous effort - I started a similar but shorter period listing HERE a while back w/ links to the OLD FORUM; unfortunately, no longer a choice, so a lot of interesting threads gone -  :-\

Will enjoy perusing this new list - might want to add George Enescu, too - thanks again!  :)
