Somehow, I don't feel gratified. Russia's representative, who won the contest, seems dumb in the interview and does not look that great, too. Feels like it was more of a political game going there. Anyway, that is the winner. Not too bad, though, and there is something very-very Russian in the features of her face.

I'd vote for Chile  8)

Gentlemen prefer blondes.  ;D

I agree 100% with this post.

Ugly eye makeup on the blonde, is there a better picture? I also like Chile, but never judge on a single photo anymore.

So, Miss World can be and should be a more "objective" contest (and more serious) than Greatest Symphony and Most Overrated/Underrated Composer?

If the winner is a "Miss", it's more or less a fair contest to me.

Miss Russia had too much makeup.  India's girl was probably the ugliest...

I think that is usually the case. Chile is nice but she would be high maintenance, hope you're prepared for it.

I don't see much Russian(ness) in her face and wouldn't bet against cheek implants. I'd sooner take any of the Russian waitresses at the Russian restaurant this Wednesday. Sure beats having to eat the food  :P

So where is this Russian restaurant?

Where else but the world's meeting point, otherwise known as the world's waste repository, London. The city has a few of these fronts, er, I mean restaurants, none of which is particularly good. The tart for dessert ain't bad though. There's a quite enjoyable Polish vodka bar near Holborn, but in the end, cutting through all these gimmicks, nothing beats a local pub with no pressure and no expectations.

This thread isn't about women, it's about mannequins.

Is this a real woman? At first glance, I should have bet it's a PhotoShop fake. ;D

Can't see below her shoulders so I couldn't comment.

is miss universe now called miss world? has it really been a year since that venezuelan chick won? or is this totally different?

Anyways Aruba, Chile, Korea, Serbia, Turkey were nice.

And hey, the us one wasnt half bad this time...they are usually horrid and look like the cheapest lapdancer you can find.

And Ireland...haha funny even

These pageants are so incredibly stupid. Where do they find these women, and who judges them ?

Please folks, these ladies range from ordinary-looking to downright hideous. And did you check out France, Georgia and Israel ? They look like insects...  ::)   And Netherlands looks like a man.

And they're so goddam thin.   :-X   Why do people find that appealing ?  Beauty involves  a little bit  of plumpness/voluptuousness.

The most startlingly beautiful women I have ever seen in my life were from Morocco, particularly in Kenitra, Rabat and Casablanca.

I heartily concur.  More natural beauty would be nice to see, but those pageants don't seem to want anything that's too real, you know?
