Oh, now I understand.  I had thought that you were living 'just' with an elderly father.  And, yes, it's your father's decision...just trying to go by your descriptions, and yes, it's his choice what do do with his stuff and I am assuming that you're living in his home too vs. the other way around?  But also maybe a time to rethink 'clutter'?   :)  I'm feeling more and more 'I want to own things vs. feeling the other way around".  Don't need so much stuff.

Anyway, good luck!

PD

Yep, I live with my parents. I don't really need so much stuff, but, thankfully, my collections: CDs and graphic novels don't take up as much space as his stuff. ;) Good luck in your own situation as well.

Thanks.  And it's a good time to be with family...seriously!  I'm doing pretty well here...thanks!

All the best to you and your family,

How compressed are the Amazon music files BWV?  And do they include all of the liner notes and librettos?

PD

May I ask as to how you are listening to the recordings?

One concern that I have has to do with younger listeners.  The impression that I'm getting is that younger people are losing their hearing due to earbud, etc., playing at high levels.

And, yes, one can learn things via Google, but I don't think that that replaces good liner notes.  Hopefully, the ones doing the liner notes know more than just a general google search.

Best wishes,

PD

Well i am hardly a younger listener - no audiophile either, but have either a decent receiver and pair of Bowers Wilkins speakers or a good pair of Sennhauser headphones

Sounds nice!  Which B & W speakers do you have?  :)

Personally, I love having the physical media vs. renting music, but yes, it does take up room!  Have you ridded yourself of all CDs, LPs, cassettes, etc.?  Do you own any digital files (sorry if I missed or forgot that, it's been kind of a crazy day around here)?

Best wishes,

CM1s.  I ripped my CD collection a few years back onto Amazon cloud, problem was they then stopped supporting uploads, but most everything is available on unlimited, so no real loss
