I love George's CD collection. Like Sarge's (and others'), it's so neat and well organised. That makes me happy. :)

Btw, George, seeing that Goode Beethoven set makes me sad. An Amazon seller had it up for £35, I ordered and they couldn't supply. Hate it when that happens. >:(

Next time, send a photo.

That'll scare the beejesus out of them.  ;D

Just got three new shelves installed to accomodate my growing collection. They are mounted above the shelving units below. For somereason they look crooked in this picture:

George - lookin' good!  :D  The Quest for Space continues for all of us!  ;) ;D   Dave

Best of all, the shelves were only $6 each at Lowes!  :)

The explanation is very simple. The optics of your camera isn't perfect and you are using wide angle.

Nice collection George!  ;)
Spatial distortion is a serious problem deteriorating headphone listening.
Crossfeeders reduce spatial distortion and make the sound more natural
and less tiresome in headphone listening.

9291 "songs", 23.2 days, 160.8 GB

That translates to a couple of hundred CDs - and it's not all classical. Still, I'm only little  0:).

Some lovely collections here...particularly Sarge ... but where are Don and Harry's photos?

Not a good picture, but that's what I've got.

What kind of equipment do you have there, speakers & amplification?

The new erato

On the floor (havent room for a rack) partially hidden behind my computer screen; a Wadia 835 and a Conrad-Johnson MF 2500, speakers are Dali MS 5s.

My dedicated listening room so I can afford some disorder!

Cool, that will sound great together, had the Wadia myself one time, so I know how sweet the player sounds.

Nice!

Did you make that CD holder or buy it in a store?

The new erato

It'ds an IKEA rack, "Billy". Cheap and versatile.

A few guitars with a Marshall behind one of the MS 5's:

I am humbelled by everyone's collection...far surpassing anything I have or could ever hope to have.  I think I have seen more classical cds in this thread than in some HMV and Virgin stores across the UK......now I am sure I joined the right discussion forum (who better to give advice on recordings than people with cd collections like the ones posted here!!)

Hehe. You are not alone in your awe, Marvin. Some impressive collections there. I will not say I have very few CDs, but my classical ones only number in the couple of hundreds.

Well I have about 7500 now and not counting the multiple sets.
If I figured out how to upload pictures to post here, I will.
Don has even more, much more I would say, and I recall no pictures from him.

Right - no pictures from me.  All my inventory is away from public view.  Besides, a picture of a bunch of discs isn't exactly aesthetically pleasing.

To my eyes it is Don, it really is. :)

Hehe. Mostly used for watching news when I can't be bothered to go upstairs (where there's a proper Sony 36'').  But it will have to go anyway to make room for more CDs I guess, you see some stacks lying on top of some shelves and there are more that should be catalogued I promise you.

It's not how much you have that counts; it's what you do with it.
