I'd appreciate it if you can identify the work to which this excerpt belongs. :) It's not "clean" audio, I recorded it off the radio with the sound recorder in my camera.

Yes, I was thinking 20thC Russian, too. Or perhaps, American. The xylophone (is it?) stands out.

There is a great recording of the Suite on this set. It's fun music, but also very evocative.  :)

Thanks a bunch, Benji! The only Nielsen I have tried is his violin concerto. It didn't last beyond the first movement or so. Maybe it's time to give him a listen again. :)

I wouldn't say Aladdin was top-drawer Nielsen, but it's very accessible and if it opens doors for you go for it!  :)
